“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts, you’ll start having positive results.” – Willie Nelson
With everything going on in the world right now, staying sanitized and healthy is more important than ever. While nothing beats good ol’ fashioned soap and water (these are the products I swear by for cleaning), having a miniature and portable version is the next best thing. The best part? Not only can you can make this yourself in bulk and save tons of money in the process, but this is an ALL NATURAL recipe for you the customize with your favorite essential oils.
- 3 Tablespoons of Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel (alcohol is the preferred with what’s going on in the world today, but Witch Hazel is a great runner up. If you choose alcohol, anything that is 120 proof or 70% or higher will be perfect. Everclear ranges from 120-190 proof so this one is perfect at your local ABC store!)
- 1 Tablespoon PURA D’OR Organic Aloe Vera Gel – any Aloe Vera Gel that is certified organic and pure works great, this is the one I prefer for myself though
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vitamin E Oil
- Few drops of essential oil (100% Pure Tea Tree Oil is anti-bacterial so this is a great one to use, and then you can pair that with a pleasant scented one like Artizen Lavender Essential Oil or Eucalyptus Essential Oil)
What you’ll do is mix all of these ingredients together in a small bowl and you can use a couple of options for container. I recommend these 2oz Amber Glass Spray Bottles for Essential Oils (Value Pack (12 Pack) so that the sunlight does not alter the makeup of the essential oils.
And…BAM! You’re done! As long as we have the foundational elements in there like the alcohol/itch hazel and moisturizing agents, you can customize your hand sanitizer with your essential oils. If you want more germ fighting agents, you can try Health Shield Essential Oil Blend out. Also, the health shield blend smells AMAZING! If you’re looking for more stress relief (not sure why anybody would need any kind of stress relieving essential oils nowadays…) you can try out Stress Relief Essential Oil Blend.
